In addition to supporting our nominated charities each season Munster Rugby supports numerous other activities and initiatives across the province.

With our upcoming sold-out game against Leinster once again confirmed as our official Charity Match, the below are some of the other recent community activities that the players took part in.

December Hospital Visits

What is becoming an annual tradition at this time of year, players visited the children’s wards at the Cork University Hospital and University of Limerick to spread some Munster and festive cheer.

Physios Raise Charity Funds

Munster Rugby physios Marc Beggs and Keith Thornhill raised over €5000 for a number of charities, including the province’s 2018/19 nominated charity, Cliona’s Foundation, when they completed Gaelforce West in June last.

A total of €5385 was raised, of which €3185 was been donated to Cliona’s Foundation with the remainder to Helping Limerick Children, a local initiative which raises funds for Cliona’s Foundation, CARI and the Children’s Grief Centre.

Warm Welcome For Munster Players at Kinsale RFC

James Cronin, Billy Holland and Alex McHenry paid a special visit to Kinsale RFC in early December to meet the club’s age-grade section.

Over 250 children, parents and club members were in attendance, and they took in a meet and greet with the players on the main pitch before Ultan O’Callaghan hosted Q&A in the clubhouse.

The players were given a warm welcome from Kinsale RFC President Giles Norman on behalf of everyone at the club.
