Diarmuid Barron is the latest Academy player under the spotlight in our series profiling the eight recruits that joined the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy last summer.

Hooker Barron started playing rugby in the Minis section of Cashel RFC and played in the Munster Schools Junior and Senior Cup with Rockwell College.

The Tipperary man now plays his club rugby with Garryowen in the All Ireland League and made five starts for Munster A in this season’s Celtic Cup.

Barron is a former Ireland U20 international and made his Guinness PRO14 debut for Munster away to Cardiff in September 2018.
