The weekend results saw both Munster sides record wins over Ospreys opposition in the PRO14 and Celtic Cup.

Following the successful outings the medical department issued the below update.

John Ryan suffered an ankle injury in Friday night’s game against Ospreys. He will have a scan and will be seen by a specialist this week to determine further treatment.

Stephen Archer was treated for suspected concussion during the match and will undergo the return to play protocol under the supervision of the medical department.

James Hart suffered a knee injury in the game and will be managed by the medical department.

Stephen Fitzgerald and Sean O’Connor suffered concussion in the Celtic Cup on Saturday and will undergo the return to play protocol under the supervision of the medical department.

Tyler Bleyendaal has started his return to team training this week.

Conor Murray (Neck) is progressing well in his rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical department.

Continuing rehabilitation: Neil Cronin (shoulder), Billy Holland (ribs) Kevin O’Byrne (calf), Niall Scannell (shoulder), Liam O’Connor (knee), Conor Oliver (toe), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Conor Murray (neck), Chris Farrell (knee), Ronan O’Mahony (ankle).

Next Games

While Munster travel to the Cardiff Arms Park on Friday night for round 4 of the Guinness PRO14, the Munster ‘A’ side welcome Dragons ‘A’ to Irish Independent Park in the Celtic Cup at 5.30pm.

Entry to home Celtic Cup round games are free for Full and Associate members of the MRSC.
