Tighthead prop John Ryan hit the ground running in the Guinness PRO14 opener last Saturday on the back of a successful season with province and country last year.

Along with helping Munster to two semi-finals, the Cork man played two games in Ireland’s Grand Slam-winning 2018 6 Nations campaign before then featuring in two Tests against Australia in the victorious summer tour.

He played 53 minutes in the 38-0 win over the Cheetahs at Thomond Park last weekend and is anticipating an extremely difficult battle against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun on Friday night.

The Scottish side boast a formidable home record and won all their regular season PRO14 fixtures at Scotstoun last season, failing to collect a try-scoring bonus-point just once.

Head Coach Johann van Graan will be naming the Munster side to face Glasgow tomorrow afternoon.
