Squad Update

Following on from Saturday’s game against Leinster it was confirmed Donnacha Ryan sustained a concussion in the opening 30 minutes, with the Tipperary-lock now following return to play protocols.

Dave O’Callaghan, who was replaced after 64 minutes, sustained a knee injury and will undergo a scan today, while Simon Zebo reported a dead leg.
 
In the build-up to the encounter Dave Foley sustained an ankle injury during Thursday’s training session and he too will undergo a scan today for further assessment.
 
Tyler Bleyendaal (quad), BJ Botha (knee), Denis Hurley (calf), and Peter O’Mahony (ACL) are all following their respective rehabilitation programmes while Mark Chisholm (concussion) continues to be rested.
 
With no competitive action this weekend the internationals have been allocated a down-week following on from their 6 Nations involvement while the remaining squad will follow their normal schedule with the Munster A squad preparing for Interprovincial action against Ulster Ravens on Thursday in Naas RFC, ko 3pm.

In the All Ireland League there was club representation for Cian Bohane, Peter McCabe and Shane Buckley.  Bohane and McCabe joined academy prop Brian Scott in lining out for Dolphin in their one-point win over Ballymena, while Buckley featured for Garryowen in the Limerick derby against Young Munster on Friday night.
 
The Garryowen line-up also included Greencore Academy players Conor Oliver, Steven McMahon and try-scorer Alex Wootton, however bragging rights went to academy colleagues Ben Kilkenny, Gearoid Lyons and Dan Goggin on the night with Lyons kicking three penalties for Young Munster who claimed a 14-8 victory in Dooradoyle.
 
In Dublin Cork Constitution recorded a 15-10 win over Lansdowne with Tomás Quinlan adding 10 points through a converted try and penalty, while Rory Burke, Ryan Foley and Ned Hodson all saw game-time.  The weekend’s action also Stephen Fitzgerald, Ollie Lyons and Greg O’Shea involved for Shannon with O’Shea crossing for two tries.
