Videos & Pics: Munster Compete In 7s

Look back at a busy two days of action that saw Munster 7s compete in the Limerick World Club 7s at Thomond Park last weekend. One of twelve 7s sides from both northern and southern hemispheres that battled for honours, see video highlights and action shots from all six of Munster’s games.

Once again Elite Player Development Officer Colm McMahon took charge of a 7s side that featured a mixture of emerging talent from the academy, sub-academy and club ranks – get to know our 7s squad here.

On Friday, one loss, one draw and a bonus point victory against Canadian Maples, Samurai Invitational and San Francisco respectively was enough to secure Munster a place in the quarter finals of the Cup competition against Daveta Fiji the following day.

Following a loss to the Fijians, Munster then competed for honours in the Plate competition, securing a comprehensive win over New York in the semi-final before succumbing to Buenos Aires in their final game of the tournament.

Daveta Fiji subsequently went on to win the tournament outright for the second consecutive year.
