In Pics: Preparations For Warriors

Take a look at the action shots and get the thoughts of winger Andrew Conway as Munster prepare for a return to Guinness PRO12 action away to Glasgow Warriors this Saturday – KO 2:40pm.

One of the weekend’s marquee fixtures, table toppers Munster travel to Scotstoun to face third placed Glasgow Warriors in a repeat of last season’s PRO12 semi-final.

Following yesterday’s squad training session at UL, Andrew Conway met with media and discussed preparations for Saturday’s top of the table clash and the subsequent weekends.

“When you’ve got Glasgow, Leinster and Connacht coming up you need to maintain the same preparation and mentality that you have for Europe, otherwise you’ll be in real trouble.

“You’ll know fairly soon that you you’ve made a massive mistake if you head to Glasgow thinking that this weekend is going to be any easier than previous weekends.

“Last year we beat them at Scotstoun and that gives us a bit of confidence, knowing that we can do a job on them, but the flip side of that is they had the last laugh, beating us at home in Thomond Park and also in the PRO12 semi-final last season.

“It’s make or break in the coming weeks, to hopefully get back on the horse and achieve some good results before we head back into the Champions Cup.

“After two tough weeks you can choose to feel sorry for yourself or you can get back on the horse and that’s what we need to do. We need to be getting points, we’re top of the league at the moment and we don’t want anyone to catch us. We need to be winning games, and although it will be a massive challenge, hopefully that starts this Saturday in Glasgow.”
