Fielding mixture of senior squad experience and emerging talent from the Munster Academy and sub-academy, Munster A suffered their first loss of this season’s British & Irish Cup campaign having previously beaten Moseley 27-21 at Clonmel RFC.

As Munster nursed a 3 point lead with the game approaching full time, Worcester maximised the return of the game’s final penalty by kicking to touch and crossing the whitewash from the subsequent line out. Full time score 27-23 and Mick O’Driscoll’s charges had to make do with a losing bonus point.
