Relive the dramatic climax of Munster’s Champions Cup opener all over again. See video highlights and action shots of Munster’s 26-27 win away to Sale Sharks.

In a game which produced tries from Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Conway and Conor Murray, as well as 3 conversions, 1 penalty and ‘the’ dropgoal from Ian Keatley, Munster reversed a 23-7 half time deficit to claim another much talked about victory in Europe.

Conway discusses the costly errors of the first half and the calm and collected approach that ultimately saw them take the spoils at the AJ Bell Stadium.

“We got caught with a few defensive errors, myself included. We were biting in and giving their danger men space. We were conscious of Cipriani’s left boot and the wind behind him which put us back into that corner. They took advantage of us there, making breaks down the left and leaving us chasing our tails.

“But we went in at half time calm. We knew what we had done wrong, we knew we weren’t holding on to the ball, we were playing in the wrong areas of the pitch and we came out and fixed that in the second half.

“It came down to the wire. Sale were defending with everything they had but JJ (Hanrahan) got us down there, giving us good field position with about three or four minutes to go. From there our forwards did brilliantly in the maul and in holding on to the ball, and then Keats did the rest!”
