See the action shots as Munster A enjoyed 27-21 victory over Moseley in their British & Irish Cup opener at Clonmel RFC on Saturday.

With tries from senior representatives Ronan O’Mahony and Paddy Butler, Academy out half and centre Rory Scannell also kicked five penalties and one conversion for Munster A.

Speaking after the game, Head Coach Mick O’Driscoll was pleased with Round 1 outcome.

“We did well considering we had a very young side out. Despite it not being the prettiest of games it was good to get a win under our belt.

“Overall I thought we handled ourselves fairly well with a lot of guys stepping up and putting in a performance, in particular Rory Scannell kicking all those points.

“Upfront I thought we also did well, considering who we were up against. Moseley are a big physical side.

“We struggled a bit at times, with the scrum in particular, and going into next week there is plenty to learn from. We know where we need to improve and we must. Worcester are a good side and we’ll be under the pump once again.”
