Tickets On Sale For Ospreys

Guinness PRO12 action continues at Thomond Park this Saturday night as Munster play host to table toppers Ospreys.

This weekend’s encounter promises to be a cracker with both sides entering Round 4 on the back of bonus point victories. While Munster overcame Zebre 31-5, Ospreys ran in a total of nine tries in their 62-13 annihilation of Edinburgh Rugby on Sunday.

Anthony Foley’s men will require another big performance to achieve a result against the Welsh side who currently possess the best scoring and defensive record in this season’s PRO12, having scored 16 tries and conceded just 2.

Hurling fans, in particular those from Tipperary, fear not! Thomond Park will be showing the All Ireland hurling final replay on all concourse and public bar TVs before the rugby. While in the Thomond Suite, a ‘home’ section will be created for all those cheering on the Premier County, together with an ‘away’ section for all those choosing to shout for the Cats.

Alternatively supporters can make the most of Thomond Park’s Fan Zone Plaza and Bank of Ireland Family Fun Zone before the game which is scheduled for an 18:30 kick-off.

Looking ahead to Saturday night’s game, Head Coach Anthony Foley looked at where Munster must improve from their victory over Zebre.

“We need to work on our ball control for next weekend. We lost a lot of ball in contact and if we continue to do that, teams will make us pay. We’re continuing to grow as the league progresses but we’re nowhere near the finished product – not that we want to be at this stage of the year. We will continue to review and improve. Although there will be some good viewing for a number of players from the Zebre game, there will be some harsh lessons learnt too, and we need to take that view if we’re going to be better next weekend against Ospreys.”

Munster v Ospreys, Guinness PRO12 Round 4, Saturday September 27th, Thomond Park. KO 6:30pm.

Tickets from €;20 for adults and €;40 for families can be purchased online here.
