Irish Independent Park Fixtures Confirmed

With the redevelopment of Musgrave Park (to be renamed Irish Independent Park upon reopening) due for completion in December, the venue will host four Guinness PRO12 encounters in the New Year.

After a €;3.2m investment, Munster open their account at the revamped Cork stadium against Cardiff Blues on February 13/14/15, followed by last season’s finalists Glasgow Warriors on February 27/28/March 1.

With interprovincial action against Connacht taking place in Thomond Park on 27/28/29 March, Munster return to Leeside in April and May.

Italian outfit Benetton Treviso visit Irish Independent Park on April 24/25/26, with Newport Gwent Dragons travelling to Cork on May 15/16/17 in what will be final round action for both teams in the Guinness PRO12.

With an increased capacity of 9,500, even more Munster fans can look forward to a match experience in Cork. Running from floodlight to floodlight, a new West stand will be 100 metres long, incorporating catering, shop and toilet facilities, a disabled viewing platform and a large function room for pre and post-match receptions.

Also, the East Terrace is to be fully covered, while a new pitch perimeter fence replaces the previous wall, maximising spectator views and ensuring player safety.

Match days and kick-off times will be confirmed in due course and a full list of 2014/15 Guinness PRO12 fixtures can be seen by clicking here.
