Munster Women Denied Interprovincial Title

The Munster Women, sponsored by Keane’s Jewellers, were defeated by Leinster yesterday at Thomond Park in the final match of their Interprovincial series.

Two penalty kick’s from Highfield’s Ger Rea before the half time mark and a converted try from Leinster's Marie Louise Reilly left it 6-7 at the break.

But two converted tries from the visitors, scored by Paula Fitzpatrick and Nora Stapleton, in the second half secured an Interprovincial title for Leinster Women with the final score. Munster 6 – Leinster 21.
