Injury Update

Munster’s Conor Murray will have a scan on his right knee later today after suffering suspected ligament damage in yesterday’s win over Perpignan.

The scrum-half has a brace on the knee and will undergo a scan to find out the extent of the injury.

Ian Keatley came off with a dead leg in the same match but is expected to be fit for the return game in France.

Luke O’Dea fractured a bone in the thumb on his right hand in Munster A’s loss in Plymouth on Friday night.

O’Dea had surgery on Saturday and will be out for approximately eight weeks.

Aside from the Munster and Munster A games, there were also players in club action at the weekend.

In the AIL, Gerry Hurley and Niall Kenneally – who both came off the bench for Munster A on Friday night – played for Cork Con as they beat St. Mary’s College 22-18 at Templeville Road.

Hurley scored Con’s first try with academy prop Rory Burke also starting for the side.

Academy scrum-half Brian Haugh scored five penalties and a conversion as Young Munster overcame UCD 22-16 at Tom Clifford Park.

Jack O’Donoghue was on the scoresheet for UL Bohs again as they beat Buccaneers 31-16 at Annacotty. O’Donoghue scored his side’s first try with fellow academy player David Johnston also featuring for UL Bohs ,although he had to be withdrawn due to injury.

Academy winger Greg O’Shea started for Shannon as they hung on to beat beat Malone 19-18 at Gibson Park.
