Match Day Information – Magners League Grand Final

Please find all relevant match day information here for Munster’s Magners League Grand Final against Leinster in Thomond Park on Saturday May 28th, ko 5.05pm.

Gates open 2 hours before kick-off at 3.05pm. Please arrive early and allow sufficient travel time for your journey.

Tickets
Please note that this game is sold out and tickets are not available to purchase from Thomond Park Stadium on match day.

Please be in your seats/terrace at least 20 minutes before kick-off. Please check your tickets for the details of the turnstiles (T1-T12) as your ticket will only be accepted in the turnstiles identified on your ticket. View a plan of Thomond Park here.

Travel
The Park and Ride facility will be in operation from the following locations:
Kilmurry Lodge Hotel: Buses starting at 1pm

Radisson Hotel, Ennis Rd: Buses starting at 2pm

Punches Hotel: Buses starting at 3pm

Maldron Hotel: Bus leaving at 2pm

Raheen Ryans Centra: Buses starting at 2.30pm

There is a public bus service in operation from outside the Dunnes Stores on Henry St. to Thomond Park starting at 3pm.

There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.

Pre-book your parking online for Q-Park Harvey’s Quay to guarantee a space on match days and to avail of reduced parking charges. There are three options – all day parking €;8, afternoon parking for €;5, or evening/overnight for only €;3. Customers can book online, and pay with Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard at www.q-park.ie or www.thomondpark.ie

Train information – Trains are available from Cork to Limerick (change at Limerick Junction) for the final. 

Rugby fans can choose to travel to Limerick on any train from Kent Station, Cork, which operate every hour on the half hour from Cork to Limerick Junction and change at Limerick Junction for Limerick City. Supporters can also travel from Mallow and Charleville.  Trains return to Cork from Limerick after the game at 20.10hrs and 22.15hrs (change at Limerick Junction).  Iarnrod Eireann is asking all intending customers to purchase their rail tickets or reserve their seats on-line at www.irishrail.ie or through Iarnród Éireann’s Telesales number which is (021) 455-7185.  Priority will be given to customers who have booked their rail tickets on-line or through the telesales number.

Stadium Information
Customers are not permitted to exit and re-enter the stadium at any point.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

The Dug-Out bar, and numerous bars and catering facilities open at 3.05pm in Thomond Park.

Match programmes will be on sale from booths inside and outside the stadium for €;5.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.

Following the match there will be a Trophy presentation and we ask all supporters to stay off the pitch for their own safety. 

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.
