Munster Forced to Re-jig

Billy Holland became the latest to withdraw from the Munster side for the British & Irish Cup clash this evening in Coventry.

A bout of flu saw the back-rower remain behind in Cork with Aucklander Nick Williams promoted from the bench and Academy player David O’Callaghan coming onto the bench.

One Coventry player that Munster will be familiar with is scrum half Mike Walls. Originally from Mullingar he played under-age representative rugby with Leinster before spending three seasons with Connacht where he won 23 Celtic League caps.

Munster. F Jones; D Barnes, T Gleeson, S Deasy, D Hurley;  D Cusack, D Williams; J Brugnaut, M Sherry, S Archer; I Nagle, D Foley;   N Williams, N Ronan, J Coughlan capt. Replacements: S Henry, D Kilcoyne, D O’Callaghan, P O’Mahony,  A Burke, P Rowley, S Zebo.

Coventry: Ollie Winter; Simon Frewin, James Lewis, Chris Lewis, Will Hurrell; Joe Carlisle, Mike Walls; Kevin Davis, Ross McMillan,  Rob Dugard;  Arthur Brenton capt, Louis McGowan; Sam Herrington,  Richie Bignell, Henno Venter.  Replacements: Joe Merrigan, Scott Roberts, James Hall, Benjamin Dechartres, Drew Locke, James Thomas, Phil MacKenzie.
