Tickets for the Republic of Ireland friendly against Australia on August 12 are now on sale from Thomond Park Stadium.

On August 12 2009, Giovanni Trapattoni’s Republic of Ireland will play a historic first ever senior international game in Limerick when they face Australia in Thomond Park.

Besides being a fantastic occasion, this game will give Sports fans throughout the mid-west a unique opportunity to see stars like Robbie Keane, Damien Duff, John O’Shea and Shay Given on their doorstep.

Australia have already qualified for the World Cup and are ranked above the Republic of Ireland at 16th in the world, with many well known players like Mark Viduka, Mark Schwarzer, Scott McDonald, Tim Cahill and Harry Kewell.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s boys in green are tantalisingly close to making it to South Africa and Australia will provide vital preparation for the pivotal World Cup qualifiers in September and October.

Tickets for this game are expected to sell quickly. The majority of €25 tickets have already sold out but €35 and €55 tickets still remain. Tickets can now be purchased from the Ticket Office in Thomond Park Stadium.

Hospitality Tickets are also available. Please click here for more information.
