Thomond Park To Remain Thomond Park.

22nd February 2008 By Munster Rugby

Thomond Park To Remain Thomond Park.

The Munster Branch, having examined the possibility of a Naming Rights Partner as part of its commercial programme for the new Thomond Park, has decided that this is not a concept it will progress further.

Having explored the various options, including a detailed assessment of the requirement of the commercial marketplace, the Munster Branch believes that the retention of the name Thomond Park for the ground is the most appropriate route forward.

The Branch has decided instead to market the naming rights to the new stands on an individual basis.

The 10 year ticket scheme, whereby a maximum of 2,500 stand tickets were made available for sale, has been a complete sell out and a waiting list has now been created for applicants whose requests could not be satisfied as part of the initial offering.
