Horgan – who has been in outstanding so far this season – took a knock to his knee in the opening minutes of the game but early in the second hald limped off with what was later diagnosed as a ligament injury.

Nor will John O’Sullivan be considered for the Llanelli game this weekend, the Kerryman recovering from the calf muscle injury that forced him to withdraw from the game against Ospreys at Musgrave Park.

Peter Stringer, who missed the Warriors game is another who remains uncertain about inclusion in the squad for Friday’s game, that squad will be named Wednesady with the starting line-up due to be named on Thursday.

But good news for Munster is that John Hayes and Paul O’Connell are expected to be included in that squad and they are likely to make their return to Munster’s cause at some stage of Friday’s game.
