Leamy Doubtful

Munster and Ireland flanker Denis Leamy will have a scan today to determine how serious is the injury he sustained to his right hamstring in the game against Glasgow last night.

Munster and Ireland flanker Denis Leamy will have a scan today to determine how serious is the injury he sustained to his right hamstring in the game against Glasgow last night.

Early indications are that he will be ruled out of action for at least two weeks which means he would not be in consideration for the upcoming international against England and would also miss Munster’s Celtic League clash with Cardiff at the Arms Park on Saturday week.

Meanwhile, Johnny O’Connor was fit enough to train with the national squad this afternoon despite going over on an ankle playing for Wasps at the weekend.

Centres Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy also took part in the national squad session and the indications are that both will be available for selection.
