Pace setters Shannon travel to Oak Park this weekend to take on a Co Carlow side who are bottom of the table following a heavy defeat last week in Cork.

Garryowen travel north to play 11th placed Dungannon who will be without their leading points scorer Gareth Steenson – on duty that day with the Ireland U21s – while Cork Con or Constitution as some would insist they be called, should improve their position in the table following the visit of Lansdowne who find themselves just one place removed from the bottom of the pile.

In Division Two, the leaders UCC travel to east Cork for a tricky encounter with Midleton which will be all the more trickier if Jason Holland produces anything like the outstanding performance he produced for Munster against Llanelli in Stradey Park last weekend.

Should things go pear-shaped for the students againast the side who have conceded only one try in their last three AIB League games, then second placed Dolphin, who have recorded the most (28) tries in Div. Two since the start of the League season, can take advantage if they make the most of their home advantage against divisional newcomers Waterpark.
