The Munster Branch IRFU are currently accepting applications for the position of Club Development Manager.

The Munster Branch (IRFU) are currently accepting applications for the position of Club Development Manager.

The Club Development Manager will play an integral part in implementing the Munster Branch (IRFU) Club Development Programme and assisting clubs in raising the profile of the game at all levels. The successful applicant will join a team of Development Officers employed throughout the country, working on the promotion, development and growth of the game of rugby.

Primary Roles:

1. The implementation and ongoing development of the I.R.F.U. Club Development Programme across its broad spectrum of activities. 2. To work closely with all clubs regarding the incorporation of the National Programme into the clubs strategic planning process. 3. To assist clubs in the preparation of the structural development applications to the Sports Capital Programmes or other government/local government/finance/grants schemes. 4. To work closely with clubs in the construction of marketing and commercial programmes to meet their requirements. 5. To work with the Provincial Development Managers in delivering programmes designed to maximise volunteer recruitment, player recruitment and retention levels. 6. To drive acceptance of the need within all clubs to produce a 3/5 year operational plan across areas of club activities. 7. To develop a high profile within club rugby through club visits, seminars and other rugby public occasions and conferences.

The successful candidates will have:

A strong academic background Previous knowledge and playing experience of rugby Strong communication, leadership and presentation capabilities Positive and proactive approach to raising the profile of clubs
