All three Divisions of the Heineken Munster Junior League will not be decided until the final series of games on the 16th March. Nenagh Ormond’s 109-17 win over Richmond has seen them take over the top position in the First Division on points difference from Bruff.

The Limerick side had to rely on an injury time try from James Ryan, before securing a valuable bonus point in their 29-11 home win over St. Senan’s. Thurles are relegated to the Second Division, after they played a 16-16 draw with Castleisland and thus ended their twelve year unbeaten run in the top flight.

Castleisland look like they will be joining them. Although they have yet to play Clonmel, who are a place above them. Clonmel eased their relegation worries with a 26-8 win at home to Bandon. There are three sides now battling it out for the two promotion places in the Second Division. St. Mary’s gained a valuable bonus point in their 27-10 win over Carrick-on-Suir. They lead Muskerry by a point, who had a great 8-0 win over Kanturk in a local derby clash. Old Christians trail Muskerry by five points and they must try and get five points from their outstanding fixture with Ennis next week to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Kinsale are relegated after they lost 21-12 to Ballincollig. Galbally and Charleville have won all their games to date in the Third Division and the North Cork side can take over the leadership next week with a home win over Dunmanway. These sides are due to meet in the final game.

Cashel with two games to play, can also claim one of the promotion places, if they were to pick up bonus points in their remaining games. Dolphin completed their Munster Seconds League program with a defeat by Garryowen. The Limerick side need to play U.L. Bohemian in their final game and a win would see them edge out Dolphin on points difference.
