Despite the fact that five games were postponed in the First Round of the Heineken Munster Junior Cup, there was plenty of drama in the games that were played.

Nenagh Ormond won the Heineken Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup for the second time, with a dramatic last minute try from Daryl Carnigie to beat Bruff 16-15 in a thrilling final. In the Junior Cup, Ballincollig advanced at the expense of Muskerry as a result of getting the first score in the game, after the sides finished level 6-6 after extra time. Waterford City surprised Douglas 20-17. The postponed games have now being refixed for Sunday 19th January.
