Munster coach Alan Gaffney was in buoyant mood when he arrived in Dublin today for a regular meeting of provincial coaches at IRFU HQ, as he was given the news Anthony Horgan has been given the all clear.
Gaffney had been given the good news that Anthony Horgan has been given the all clear to resume full training following a visit to a specialist in Edinburgh this morning. Anthony phoned me this morning from Edinburgh after he d just seen his specialist and he s been given the all-clear to resume full training, said a clearly delighted Gaffney.. It is expected that Horgan will be available to play competitively in a fortnight s time.
In addition, Gaffney will have Donncha O Callaghan and Jeremy Staunton back in full training in a week (11th) while Martin Cahill, resumed training earlier this week. O Callaghan suffered a hairline jaw fracture in the game against Gloucester but he too saw a specialist today (Fri) and has been passed fit to resume in a week..
