Irish Coach Eddie O’Sullivan has named six Munster players to the squad of 22 to play Australia in the Permanent TSB international on Saturday November 9th.

The Munster players in the squad include Peter Stringer, Ronan O’Gara, John Kelly, John Hayes, Anthony Foley and Alan Quinlan.

Rob Henderson, Paul O’Connell & David Wallace are obviously missing from the squad due to their current injuries. Ireland have not beaten the Wallabies since their 9-3 success in Sydney 23 years ago. They have lost the last eleven encounters, including three World Cup games.

Kieth Wood has returned to the squad as Captain, but is still not a certainty due to a neck injury. Brian O’Driscoll and David Humphries have been named as Vice Captains, which may indicate that Ronan O’Gara will not start in the No.10 shirt, but all will be revealed when O’Sullivan names his team next Tuesday.
