Level 1 Coaching Course At CSN

The annual Munster Rugby IRFU Level 1 Coaching Course recently took place in Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, Cork, with 38 coaches in attendance.

Munster Rugby’s coaching staff including Domestic Rugby Manager Ultan O’Callaghan tutored on the course with guest speakers Padraig Culbert and Munster scrum coach Paul McCarthy also taking part.

The contents of the course included subjects such as Principles of Play, Skill Development Individual Skills, Referee Laws and Unit Skills.

In order to complete their IRFU Level 1 accreditation, the participants will go on to attend a Level 1 link course, log 40 hours of coaching and finally have a coaching session observed by a Munster Rugby Coach Development Officer.
