With the new season underway, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of recent organisational changes within the Munster Rugby Domestic Game Department.
Paul Collins, who previously held the position of North Munster Rugby Development Officer, has been appointed as the new Provincial Development Manager, while Cliona Quaid has taken on the role of HR and Domestic Game Administrator.

We also welcome two new faces in Ben Hallam, our Programmes Administrator, and Noel O'Meara who is the new Rugby Development Officer for North Munster.

Last season we ran a series of workshops throughout the province with members from all Munster Clubs' invited to attend. One of the key messages highlighted at these meetings was the need to improve communication. In response to this we have developed a new Domestic Game Communications Programme.

A monthly Domestic Game Ezine is the first component of the Programme that will also include a new Club Manual, a poster sized Calendar of Events and a revamped Branch "Red Book". These new initiatives will help complement the improvements we are endeavouring to make in the way we operate, and the service we provide to the rugby public.

Our professional Staff in conjunction with the Branch Domestic Game Committee have put together clearly defined objectives and targets in order to address the vital issues arising from the following 6 key work areas:

- Coach Education
- Adult Player Development and Retention
- Women's Rugby
- Referees
- Age Grade
- Facilities, Communication and Marketing

I hope you find our new Domestic Game Ezine informative and I look forward to another successful season both on and off the pitch.

Yours in Rugby,

Ultan O'Callaghan
