Holder's Cork Constitution make exit from Munster Junior Cup, as Garryowen, U.C.C. and U.L. book semi final places.
Trailing 5-3 at half time at Temple Hill, U.L. Bohemian dominated the second half to emerge 20-11 winners over Cork Constitution. Dave Moloney and Ross Butler scored tries for the Limerick side and Fergal Lawlor kicked two penalties and two conversions. Andy OBrien replied with a try for the holders and Peter Broughan kicked two penalties.
 
Favourites U.C.C. did not have things all their own way when they travelled to Limerick to face Richmond, a tie they won 23-13. Willie Devane and Gavin Blower scored tries for the students. Colin OBrien kicked three penalties and a conversion and Willie Walsh a conversion. Ian Madden replied with a try for Richmond, Michael Kelleher kicked a drop goal and Darragh Clancy added a conversion and penalty.

Garryowen got the better of Nenagh Ormond at Dooradoyle on a 33-20 scoreline. Alan McNamara scored two tries for the winners and Niall ODriscoll and Rob Larkin got one apiece. Gerry Hurley kicked two conversions and three penalties. Alan Jackson and Keith Quigley each scored tries for the Tipperary side and Dan Fogarty kicked two conversions, a penalty and a drop goal.

Young Munster edged out Newport 13-10 in the Munster Junior Plate. William Mullane and Richard Wall scored tries for the winners and Declan Bannon added a penalty. Newport replied with a try from Ray Ryan and Dave August kicked a conversion and penalty.

Two tries by Dara Duggan and one by Paul OConnor-Butler helped Thurles to a 17-0 win over Killarney. Aidan Dwyer converted one of the tries.

Galbally came from 5-3 down at half time to beat Muskerry 13-5. Liam OSullivan was the home sides try scorer.

St. Senans took a major step towards promotion to the First Division of the Munster Junior League after they defeated Youghal 44-13. Declan Collins, Tony OBrien, David Dunne, Stephen Ryan, Fergal Lawlor and Brian Collins scored tries for the winners. Darren Guerin kicked two penalties and converted three of the tries, with Declan Collins also kicking a conversion. Youghal replied with tries from Conor Mulcahy and Ian White with Sean Barry adding a penalty.

Presentation defeated St. Marys 14-3 at Rathuard to move into second place in their section of the Third Division. Barry Gibbons had given Marys a 3-0 interval lead with a penalty. Ger Clancy replied with a try for the home side and Eoin Lynch kicked three penalties.

Carrick-on-Suir and Waterford City both advanced to the quarter finals of the Martin OSullivan Cup. Carrick-on-Suir defeated Dungarvan 43-13. Albin Coughlan scored three tries for the winners, Peter Steele got two and Brian Slattery one. Ross Clery kicked five conversions and a penalty.

Waterford City overcame Fermoy 30-15. Dale Ryan scored two tries for the winners and Jason Power and Len Power each scored a try. Aaron Foskin kicked a drop goal, penalty and two conversions to complete Waterfords tally. Ed Rice and Conor Ahern replied with tries for the home side. Cathal OKeeffe added a drop goal and Peter OLoughlin kicked a conversion.
