The summer programme mainly identified individual technical skill development and the final challenge game offered players the chance to showcase their improved skill set.
The South Munster squad finished their programme with a game on Friday last against the new U17 Combined Schools squad and they came out on top in a tough and challenging encounter. The game also acted as a warm up game for the Combined squad who are preparing themselves for fixtures at the end of the month against Connacht Under 17s.
The schools development players are straight back into competitive mode as most will be lining out for their respective schools in the Bowen Shield competition which commences shortly.
