In a relatively quiet weekend as the season winds down, there is a handful of games at senior and junior levels down for decision.

The aim of this workshop is to work with clubs to develop a basic strategy that can be used during the season. The focus will be to develop a simple strategy around one area of the business that could be embraced by the whole club and which could make a real difference. This could be around membership (how to grow and develop the membership), retaining families (could we attract and retain 20 families this season), using the club house as a business venue (running an event which will not only generate an income but which would build the brand of the club and attract new individuals/businesses to the club) or communications (could the club develop the web site, the social media offering or the data base).
The clubs will be provided with an auditing booklet (attached) and prior to the meeting will need to sit down and complete the simple audit which should highlight areas of priority. The club will then need to choose one or two areas to focus on.
On the evening the clubs will work through a process in which they:
a) Set a vision of what they want to achieve during the season.
b) Carry out a SWOT analysis on the club to find out where the strengths and weaknesses are in relation to the "vision" and what the club will need to change in order to achieve the outcomes
c) Create one or more projects that could be delivered over the season which will achieve the desired outcome. These projects would be plotted against a time line
d) Time line and monitoring. The club will need to set up a time line and agree set monitoring points along the way.
Places are limited to 10 clubs (2 attendees per club) for this session.
