Waterford City RFC was the host club for the very successful mini blitz held at the club last Sunday.
As well as the host club teams from Clonmel and Carrick on Suir contested the blitz. Fair play and fun was the order of the day and this was in evidence in abundance by the players and the mentors alike. All three clubs fielded teams from Under-8 to Under-12 and it is a credit to the clubs that all teams turned out in their club colours and tracksuits. The spirit of the game of rugby is alive and well in these three clubs.
Dolphin lost at home to St. Mary's College in their bottom of the table clash in Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League, while a bonus point win for Ballymena sees them move into second place in Division 1B ahead of Garryowen.
