Alana enjoyed a successful start to her rugby playing days, winning a number of underage titles at Ennis RFC.

She featured for the Munster U18s in 2018 and 2019, winning the Interprovincial Championship in 2019.

An all-rounder who has played a number of sports, she plays Women’s All Ireland League rugby with UL Bohemian RFC and made her senior Munster debut against Connacht as a starter in the second game of the 2021 Interpros.
