Youghal RFC Hosts Emerging Schools Blitz

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

Pupils at Under 15 age grade representing South East Munster schools – Ard Scoil na Mara, Pobal Scoil na Trionoide, CBS Carrick on Suir, Colaiste Chathail Naofa, CBS Dungarvan, Waterpark College and De la Salle took part in 11 aside rugby recently at Youghal RFC, coordinated by Munster Rugby Development Officer John O’Neill.

The programme has been rolled out throughout the province and will continue over the next few weeks.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
