Weekend’s Fixtures

The semi finals of the Cork and Limerick Charity Cups dominate the weekend’s program as several local Junior Cup competitions get underway.

Young Munster going for their fourth successive Limerick Charity Cup title play Garryowen at Clifford Park on Friday evening kick off 6.45. The other semi-final will see Shannon host U.L. Bohemian on Saturday at Coonagh.

The Cork Charity Cup semi-finals are also down for decision on Saturday with holders Dolphin expected to be too strong for Midleton at Towns Park and home advantage should give Cashel the edge at home to Highfield.

On the Junior scene there are five games in the opening round of the Transfield Cup, while in the Tipperary it is the Garryowen Cup that gets under way with five games to be decided.

In South Munster there are seven games listed in the Dennehy Cup.
