Weekend Rugby Fixtures

It is the start of both the Ulster Bank All Ireland League and First Division of the Munster Junior League.

Sixteen Munster sides will be involved in this season’s Ulster Bank League with six of them involved in Division 1A.

The action kicks off on Friday night with two floodlit games in Limerick. Shannon and Young Munster meet at Thomond Park and Garryowen entertain Dolphin.
Unbeaten U.L. Bohemian face a difficult trip away to champions St. Mary’s College on Saturday and Cork Constitution host Clontarf.

Bruff the only Munster side in Division 1B are at home to Ballymena and they will be anxious to start with a victory.

Five sides will be contesting Division 2A with a Munster derby at Midleton where the home side take on newly promoted Cashel.
The other promoted side Highfield face a difficult tie away to Bective Rangers.
Relegated U.C.C. make the long journey to City of Derry and Old Crescent play Queens University at Rosbrien.

In Division 2B there is a Munster derby at Musgrave Park where Thomond are Sunday’s Well opponents.
Nenagh Ormond are away to Rainey Old Boys and Clonakilty host City of Armagh at The Vale.

The Fist Division of the Munster Junior League also kicks of this weekend as well as the quarter finals in both the Munster Junior Clubs Shield and Martin O’Sullivan Cup.
