A try from Emmett Harty and a conversion and penalty by Jonathon Forde gave Richmond a 10-5 interval lead over Kilfeacle. Sean Leahy scored a try for the home side. A try from James McDermott and a Forde penalty looked to be enough to send Kilfeacle into the Second Division but tries from Jack Sullivan and Ian Burns and a conversion from Derek Ryan kept Kilfeacle in touch until Lowry’s last gasp winner.
