Video: Emerging Schools Blitz Days Get Started

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

Pupils at U15 age grade representing West Cork schools Bantry, Skibbereen, Rosscarbery, Dunmanway and Clonakilty took part in 12 aside rugby yesterday at Clonakilty RFC, coordinated by Munster Rugby Development Officers.
Newcastle West RFC hosted pupils on the same day from Scoil Mhuire agus Ide, Villiers, CBS Sexton Street, John The Baptist Hospital and Colaiste Mhuire Askeaton.

The programme will be rolled out throughout the province over the next few weeks.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
