Temple Hill To Host Cork Charity Cup

Cork Constitution FC will host a new format Cork Charity Cup event on Saturday, 29th August at Temple Hill, Cork.

A total of seven South Munster Senior Clubs will take part in the one day round robin tournament along with Munster Junior League champions Clonmel in a rugby spectacle not to be missed.

Midleton and hosts Cork Con will kick off proceedings at 1pm along with fellow Cork clubs Highfield and UCC as all sides warm up for the All Ireland League which begins on the 12th September.

The clubs will play three 15 minute a-side matches over the course of the day. There will be no penalty kicks at goal and all conversions will be taken by a drop kick with the two top points scorers qualifying for the final.

Entry fee for the event is €;5 for adults with free admission for school pupils and OAP’s . A BBQ and children’s entertainment will be provided on the day.

All proceeds will be donated to the Marymount Hospice, Cork.

Limerick Charity Cup

The Limerick Charity Cup kicks off on Monday, 24th August in Dooradoyle which sees Garryowen host Thomond while UL Bohemian entertain Bruff at Annacotty.

On Tuesday, 25th August Shannon take on Old Crescent in Coonagh at 7pm and the following evening, Wednesday, 26th August Nenagh Ormond host Young Munster at New Ormond Park.
