Talent Camp At Rockwell College Underway

The annual Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Talent Camp kicked off yesterday at Rockwell College for the Munster U18 Clubs and Munster U18 Schools representative sides.

This year's Talent Camp sees the Munster Under 17 Clubs and Munster Under 17 Schools included in talent camp training with their Under 18 counterparts, also at Rockwell College on a part time basis.

Both Under 18 squads will reside at Rockwell College for three days over a period of five weeks while also continuing their gym programme at their respective centres.

Players representing the Munster Under 17 and Under 18 club and school squads have been selected from across the province in recent months as part of the Munster player identification process, and will undergo extensive training and educational modules in the coming weeks.

Programmes will include on-pitch activities, strength and conditioning sessions, and player welfare tutorials focusing on diet and nutritional needs.

The Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Talent Camp will incorporate preparations for the upcoming interprovincial campaigns commencing in the coming months while also giving players, coaches and management a unique opportunity to familiarise themselves with their squads.

Throughout the camp it is envisaged that players will be identified for future development programmes as part of Munster Rugby's overall objective in building for the future.
