Skibbereen Host Emerging Schools Blitz

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools.

Pupils at U15 age grade representing West Cork schools Maria Immaculata Dunmanway and St Fachtnas de la Salle Skibbereen took part in 11 aside rugby yesterday at Skibbereen RFC, coordinated by Munster Rugby Development Officers.

The programme has been rolled out throughout the province and will continue over the next few weeks.

This initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club.
