Pres’ To Face Rockwell in Avonmore Schools Cup Final

It is going to be a repeat of last season’s Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup Final on St. Patrick’s Day after holders P.B.C. defeated Crescent at Thomond Park to book their final spot.

Crescent College Comprehensive 12, P.B.C. 23.
Pres’ winger Steve Dinan put his side ahead with a penalty after three minutes. The Limerick side hit back and were in front on thirteen minutes when Padric Ryan got in for a try.
Dinan hit the upright with a penalty four minutes later but converted a try by Paul Derham a minute before the break for a 10-5 half time lead.
Four minutes into the second half Ross Caplice extended PBC advantage with their second try and Rory Scannell made it 20-5 on sixty two minutes with another try.
Crescent’s out half Larry Hanley touched down two minutes into injury time and Diarmuid Dee converted but Dinan had the final say with a penalty a minute a later.
