PBC Through To Semi Final

The meeting of the two winners from the first round resulted in Presentation Brothers College booking their place in the semi finals of the Munster Schools Junior Cup with a stunning second half performance at Clanwilliam Park against Rockwell.

P.B.C. 25, Rockwell 3.

It was an evenly contested first half but the Cork side were in full control after the interval.

Rockwell made the better start and took the lead after fifteen minutes with a penalty from out half Ryan O’Sullivan.

Slowly Pres’ began to take control and they went ahead a minute before half time with a try from number 8 Amhlaiobh Porter and Niall Murphy converted for a 7-3 half time lead.

Murphy extended Pres’s advantage with a penalty twelve minutes into the second half.

Full back Mark McLoughlin (46 mins), second row Eoin Quilter (58 mins) and winger Andrew Geaney O’Brien (injury time) added further tries to see Pres into the last four.

The last two quarter finals will take place tomorrow at Thomond Park Stadium when St. Munchin's College take on last year's winners CBC at 3.30pm.

Crescent College and Castletroy College will follow at 5pm to determine this year's semi finalists.
