O’Loughlin Names Munster U18 Clubs Side For Exiles

Munster U18 Clubs Head Coach Fiach O’Loughlin has named his first XV to face the Irish Exiles on Sunday, 16th August at the Mardyke, Cork, kick-off 3pm.

Five West Cork players have been selected in the starting line up which sees the Bantry Bay front row partnership of hooker Tadgh McCarty and loosehead Pat Casey. Clonakilty lock Colin Dean will start with Ethan Greene from Kinsale named on the wing, alongside Skibbereen’s Dave McCarthy at inside centre.

Luke Jordan assumes the loosehead position starting with fellow Dolphin player, winger Timmy Phelan.

Waterford will be represented by four players which sees Dungarvan’s Finn Rhys Thomas named at scrum-half alongside Alex Molloy from Waterpark who claims the out-half position. Waterpark’s Jack Nolan (lock) has also been named along with his club colleague Dev Murphy who starts in the back-row.

Castleisland’s Jack Daly and Bruff’s Odhran Ring complete the back row selection while Jordan Higgins from Shannon is named at full-back.

The clubs will travel to Wales next week to take on the Welsh U18 and British Colleges U19 champions, Coleg y Cymoedd, in Cardiff on Saturday, 22nd August as they continue to prepare for their interprovincial fixtures.
