Munster Women Edge Closer To Five In a Row

The Munster Women sponsored by Keanes Jewellers will face Leinster on Sunday, 28th November in Donnybrook k.o. 13.00 (TBC).

Following their convincing 34-0 victory over Ulster in Ravenhill last Saturday they will now compete for their five in a row Interprovincial title against old rivals Leinster.

Munster full back Niamh Briggs opened scoring after 15 minutes with a penalty followed moments later with a try from Tralee’s Siobhan Fleming.

Ulster tried to find their way back into the game but were left further behind after an excellent try from Munster centre Geraldine Rea and converted by Briggs leaving the score at half time 0-15.

Six minutes into the second half Niamh Kavanagh scored in the corner for Munster which was again converted by Briggs.

Once again Ulster came back at Munster and made their defence work hard before Geraldine Rea popped up for her second try of the game.

Niamh Briggs finished the game for Munster scoring a terrific try under the posts with an easy convertion before the final whistle.
