Munster U20’s Lose Italian Warm Up

The Munster Under 20 side suffered a 19-3 loss to Italy Under 20’s tonight at Garryowen FC in their first warm up fixture ahead of the upcoming interprovincial series.

Out-half Fionn McGibney opened the score for Munster however a try for the Italians quickly followed going in 3-5 at the break.

A second try from Italy’s Enrico Lucchini, converted by Matteo Minozzi extended the Italian lead 3-12 on the 63rd minute.

With five minutes to go winger Yannick Agbasse touched down for Italy’s third try of the night with Minozzi adding the extras.

Next up for Munster Under 20's is their second interprovincial warm up game on Wednesday, 20th August, when they take on their Connacht counterparts at Annacotty, kick-off 12pm
