Munster A Schools Suffer Defeat & Ard Scoil Ris Advance In Bowen Shield.

Leinster did the double over Munster in the A Interprovincial Schools at Donnybrook with a 29-8 victory giving Leinster the trophy on a 37-8 aggregate.

The scoreline did little justice to the Munsterside who dominated passion for long periods but failed to turn this into scores.

When Munsterlook back on this game they will rue the many missed opportunities and some easy scores that were conceded.

The first quarter was very even with the lead changing hands regularly. Darren Sweetnam kicked a penalty after thirteen minutes to level the scores 3-3.

Skipper William O’Morochoe put Munsterahead with a try after eighteen minutes to lead 8-6.

The home side rallied to lead 16-8 at the break and Leinsterheld Munsterscoreless in the second half and added two tries and two penalties to give them victory.

Ard Scoil Ris recorded their first win in the Bowen Shield with a 20-15 over Crescent Comprehensive at Dooradoyle.

Conor Glynn and Dylan Kelly scored tries for the winners and Ronan McKenna converted both and also added two penalties.
