McInerney Named In Ireland Clubs Starting XV

Garryowen winger James McInerney has been named in the Ireland Clubs starting line-up as they prepare to take on French Federale this Fraday in Stade Jules Ladoumègue, Paris, (ko 7pm local).

McInerney joins his fellow clubman Neil Cronin on the squad along with the Cork Con front row duo Max Abbott and Ger Sweeney who are also named in the replacements.

Lansdowne and Clontarf, last season's Ulster Bank League Division 1A finalists, have four representatives each in the side, which will be again be captained by Clontarf centre Matt D'Arcy.

Old Belvedere, UCD, and Ballynahinch are the other teams from Division 1A supplying players. Division 1B sides Ballymena, St.Mary's and Dublin University will have six representatives between them.

Head Coach Paul Cunningham (Old Belvedere) is joined by assistant coach Mark McHugh (Lansdowne) and team manager Seamus McDermott (Garryowen).

Next up the Ireland Clubs side face Scotland Clubs XV in Cork Constitution FC on 18th March at 7.30pm.
