No changes at the top of Division 1 and 2 of the Munster Junior League, but Crosshaven are promoted after Killorglin’s surprising defeat at home to Fethard.

Crosshaven ended their recent bad run that has seen them slide from being a top side in Division 1 down to Division Three, when Killorglin their only main threat for promotion lost at home and Crosshaven ended Fermoy’s promotion bid with a 12-6 home win.
Crosshaven who led 6-3 at half time had four penalties from Ian Smith and Dylan Lacey replied with two for Fermoy.

Fethard caused a surprise when they travelled to the Kingdom and defeated Killorglin 10-6 with a try from Gary Kavanagh and a conversion and a penalty from Declan Doyle. Luke O’Shea kicked two penalties for the home side.

In the other games in this Division Bantry Bay finished their campaign at Ballydavid but went down to Chorca Dhuibhne 26-8.
Alan Devane scored two tries for the winners and Tom Kavanagh and Shane O’Rourke got one each. Seamus Moriarty kicked three conversions.
Killian McCarthy replied with a try for Bantry and Sean McCarthy kicked a penalty.

Bottom side Scariff lost at home to Killarney 21-10. Brian O’Leary and Paul Moynihan scored tries for the Kerry side and Paudie Sheahan kicked a conversion and three penalties. Ger Burke replied with a try, conversion and penalty for the Clare side.

Division 1 leaders Clonmel had to rely on the boot of Conor Cooney for their 15-13 away win over Kilfeacle in a hard fought game at Morrissey Park.
Kilfeacle who led 10-9 at half time with a try from Shane Looby and a conversion and a penalty by Gavin Heuston. Kilfeacle extended their lead five minutes into the second half with a penalty from Heuston but Cooney who kicked five penalties was Clonmel’s hero.

Bandon won their local derby with Clonakilty 23-8 but failed to secure a winning bonus point. Gearoid Crowley scored two tries for the winners and Ray Nea got one. Richard Walsh kicked two penalties and a conversion.
Ogie Scannell replied with a try for Clonakilty and Mark Purcell kicked a penalty.

Galbally continued their good run with a narrow 11-10 home win over bottom side St. Mary’s. Oisin Walsh scored a try for Galbally and Sean Bourke and Jack O’Mullane each kicked a penalty. Mary’s were awarded a penalty try and Sean Lyons converted and also added a penalty.

The Richmond Old Christians tie was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

Skibbereen moved up to sixth place with a 17-14 win at home to St. Senan’s. The home side who led 17-0 with tries from Donal Collins and Michael Limerick and two conversions and a penalty by Denis McCarthy, decided with ten minutes remaining to empty their bench and were nearly punished as Senan’s replied with late tries from Warren Kelly and Emile Maffat and Tom Cronin converted both.

Muskerry who played their first home game at Ellis Park in Ballyanly since the 8th November defeated Clanwilliam 25-12.
They led 11-0 at half time. Joe Treacy two and John Chambers one were Muskerry’s try scorers. Eoin Keohane kicked two penalties and two conversions.
Bryan O’Rahelly and Vivian Grisewood scored a try each for the Tipperary side and Niall Leahy added a conversion.

Newcastle West eased their relegation worries with a 40-7 away win over Waterpark. The visitors led 23-0 at half time.
Shane Magner, James Kelly, Tommy Kelleher and James Guinane scored tries for the visitors and Sean O’Herlihy converted all four and added four penalties.
Kevin Phelan was Waterpark’s try scorer and John Flynn converted.

The top three sides in Division 2 battling it out for promotion all had bonus point wins.

Leaders Abbeyfeale had to come from behind to defeat Mallow 22-10. Derry O’Connor and Patrick Brislane each scored two tries for the west Limerick side and Steve Daly kicked a conversion.

Cobh Pirates ran in ten tries in their 74-0 home win over Charleville. Eoin McSweeney, Martin Clifford, Ritchie O’Sullivan, Dave McAulliffe, Lee McCarthy, Glenn O’Sullivan, Steve Hickey and Mick Keating were their try scorers. Eamon Ronan kicked eight conversions and two penalties and Glenn O’Sullivan also added a conversion.

Thurles were 36-0 home winners over Ballincollig. Nicky Irwin scored three tries for the Tipperary side and Paddy Phelan, Peter Coman and Shane Lanigan got one each. Aidan Dwyer kicked two conversions and John Lillis one.

Kinsale kept their faint hopes of promotion alive with a 27-20 away win over struggling Tralee. Sean Kingston, Paudie O’Connor and Fergus Gimlet scored tries for Kinsale and Kingston kicked three conversions and two penalties.
Ben O’Neill, Martin Stack and Jamie Byrne replied with ties for Tralee and Michael Maher kicked a conversion and a penalty.

Waterford City won the Suirside derby defeating bottom side Dungarvan 39-3. Dave O’Connor (2), Simon O’Hara, Ben Duggan, Adrian Power and Joe Delahunty were Waterford’s try scorers and Michael Hayes kicked three conversions and a penalty. David Hickey replied with a penalty for the visitors.

Castleisland and Newport played out a 29-29 draw with each side scoring four tries. Brian Leonard scored three tries for Castleisland and Eric Sweeney got one. Willy Casey kicked three conversions and a penalty.
Newport replied with tries from Alfie Suds, Christian O’Connor, Darragh Ryan and Gary O’Toole. Philip O’Brien kicked three conversions and a penalty.

Ennis and Presentation played a 3-3 draw. Kealan O’Flaherty kicked a penalty for Ennis and Shane O’Brien replied with one for the visitors.
