Interprovincial Title For Munster Under 19s

The Munster Under 19s completed a great weekend for Munster Rugby with a win at the Sportsground in Galway to win the Under 19 Interprovincial championship.

Connacht 19, Munster 49.

The winners scored five converted tries three in the first half and two after the break.

Captain Alex McHenry opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a try which Conor Fitzgerald converted.

Further tries from Sean Ivess and Peadar Collins and two conversions and three penalties by Fitzgerald saw Munster lead 30-5 at half time.

Tries from Ivess, Liam Coombes and Jack Stafford with Fitzgerald converting two saw Munster run out deserving winners.

In picking up the title the province completed a successful weekend with both the U20 and U19 squads claiming their respective Interprovincial Championships, securing an overall 9 out of 11 victories for all age-grade representative sides.
